Because getting back into a routine is easier when there’s candy involved.Summer was fun, and now somehow it’s time to buy school supplies, find matching socks, pack lunches, and get everyone out the door on time.
We can’t help with the missing shoe.
But we can make back-to-school a little sweeter.
You know the goal: pack something they’ll actually eat.
Add a small sweet treat to their lunchbox for a little surprise in the middle of the school day. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Sometimes the smallest treat is the one they’re most excited to find.
School is exhausting. Keep an after-school stash ready for the inevitable:
“I’m SO hungry.”
Grab a snack, decompress for a minute, and then worry about homework.
We’re not promising candy will make homework fun, but a little motivation never hurts.
Try making an after-homework treat part of the routine. Finish the assignment, take a break, have something sweet.
If you have kids, you probably spend more time in the car than you’d like to admit.
School pickup. Practice. Games. Errands. Somehow everyone is hungry again.
Keep a small stash of candy and snacks in the car for those moments when someone asks "how much longer?" or when you need a little pick-me-up.
The kids aren't the only ones who need a back-to-school treat.
Keep your favorite Sweet Candy somewhere safe-your desk, your kitchen cabinet, the glove box. Somewhere the kids don't know about.
Then, when you've answered 47 emails, packed three lunches, and remembered that thing you were definitely supposed to remember yesterday... you can treat yourself!

The first few weeks might be chaotic. That's okay.
You don't have to have the whole year figured out on the first day.
Just get everyone where they need to go, keep the snacks stocked, and enjoy the little moments.
Here's to a new school year-and making it a little sweeter.
