Taffy is being rolled out to a thin rope. Eventually the rope is thin enough to be cut and wrapped into individual taffy pieces.
Taffy is loaded into bins after it is wrapped, where it sits waiting to be packed.
Taffy is loaded into bins that convey the taffy to scales before being packed into bags.
An inspector examines the candy as it is conveyed into scales. After taffy goes through the scales, it goes down a tube, into a bag and then is packaged into boxes.
These bags have just been filled with Sweet's Cinnamon Bears and are spinning on a table, so that a packer may take the bags and load up the boxes.
An operator observes Sweet's Orange Sticks. The orange pectin centers are being deposited into moulds formed by packed cornstarch. The centers will set for a short period of time before they are demoulded and bathed in lucious milk or dark chocolate.
An operator measures the weight of a moulding tray to guarantee the proper amount of candy center has been deposited in the cornstarch moulds.
Sweet's VP of Manufacturing is checking out the consistency of Cinnamon Bears. The bears need to sit in a room that reaches 140 degrees Farenheit for a period of time to lose moisture before they are packaged for our customers.
The orange pectin centers are being conveyed through a bath of chocolate. After sticks receive their bath, they enter a cooling tunnel so that the chocolate can set up and the product can be packaged at the end of the tunnel.
These chocolate covered sticks are approaching the packaging section where they will be placed in 10oz boxes to be sent to stores for purchase.
These sour bears are tumbling through a machine that gets this product ready for packaging.
After boxes have been packaged and placed on wooden pallets, they are loaded into racks and sit in an environmentally controlled warehouse. These cases are now available to be purchased and sent to stores to be sold and enjoyed.
